Avalanche Awareness with Northwest Avalanche Center
Whether you ski, snowshoe, snowboard, or snowmobile, recognition of avalanche danger is an essential and potentially lifesaving skill. This class introduces and explains where and why avalanches occur and provides a basic approach to managing risk.
Learn to access local avalanche bulletins and weather reports, recognize basics signs of avalanche danger, and learn simple ways to help avoid avalanche danger.
This course is offered by donation and proceeds benefit the Northwest Avalanche Center and the Kula Academy.
