CANADA: LAND OF THE BEARS

CANADA: LAND OF THE BEARS

Join this travel webinar to discover where you can experience different species of bears in Canada, from Churchill to British Columbia.

About this event

Canada is the second largest country in the world, with 10 Provinces and 3 Territories from the city of St. John’s in Newfoundland and Labrador in the east to the border with Alaska in the west. The country has a huge variety of natural environments from desert to polar ice caps encompassing enormous tracts of forest, grassland and mountains.

Canada is one of the few countries in the world where visitors can experience different species of bears in their natural habitats – from the small town of Churchill which is known as the “Polar Bear Capital of the World” that is only accessible by plane or rail, to the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, a world of untouched nature and pristine wilderness where the Grizzlies call home.

Journey with us through these two Canadian provinces and learn more about these majestic animals as well as the various experiences that the Canadian wildlife has to offer to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Guest Speaker – Tetyana Smyrnova, The wildlife enthusiast

Tetyana first arrived in Canada more than 20 years ago and was so awed by vast nature and wilderness, vibrant cities and hospitality of the people that she decided to call this place home.

Over the years, Tetyana has explored the far-flung corners of this diverse country and her passion for travel inspired this outdoor and wildlife enthusiast to start her own travel company, which is today a proud member of Tourism Toronto, and allows her to curate unique experiences combining the vast natural playground with the sophisticated urban landscapes that this amazing country has to offer.
