GREEN COMMUNITIES GUIDE: ADVANCING NATURE BASED SOLUTIONS

Join us as we host the Land Stewardship Centre (LSC) for a presentation on the Green Communities Guide version 2.0, launched in summer 2021. Learn why the LSC updated the guide and what it does to support urban and rural communities/municipalities, planners, developers, and real estate professionals in mainstreaming nature-based solutions across Alberta. LSC will also discuss how the guide can be accessed and how they envision it contributing to climate risk mitigation in Alberta.

Presenter: Milena McWatt (she/her) grew up in rural northern Alberta and has a Master’s in Resource and Environmental Management from Dalhousie University and a degree in Biology from the University of Alberta. With a professional background in stewardship outreach, environmental education, and project management, Milena is thrilled to be working at Land Stewardship Centre on the Green Communities Guide.
