Developing Leaders for Outdoor Equity
The health and vitality of all people and our great outdoors depends on the next generation of leadership in the public, private and nonprofit sectors to champion the wild and special places that we call home. A cohort-based program of Thrive Outside San Diego, Leaders for Outdoor Equity, aims to build the next generation of land managers, conservationists, outdoor educators and recreational outfitters to promote more diverse and inclusive access to public lands.
This program includes a workshop series on historical and contemporary issues of exclusion and inequity as they relate to our public lands, and highlights current efforts to address these issues. The workshop series is paired with seminars to develop transformational leadership skills of participants.
