PANGEA’S DREAM: A FAMILY-FOCUSED ECO-WRITING WEBINAR
Pangea is Greek for ‘One Earth’. Pangea is also the name of the supercontinent that contained most of the world’s land masses during the Carboniferous Era, three-hundred-million years ago. It was in contemplation of this era (during her time as writer-in-residence at the Joggins Fossil Institute) that Elizabeth researched and wrote her compelling book of narrative eco-poetry, “Daring to Hope at the Cliff’s Edge: Pangea’s Dream Remembered”.
In this one-hour webinar, Elizabeth will engage our imaginations through poetry, stories and discussion. We will delve into ‘creative space’ while looking at what it means to be an Earth Ally in these changing times. Bring paper and pens.
Elizabeth is an author, theater artist and arts educator whose career over the last 40 years has evolved at the intersection of arts and activism. In 2018, during her residency at the Joggins Fossil Institute, she researched and wrote, “Daring to Hope at the Cliff’s Edge: Pangea’s Dream Remembered”. Her work speaks to the power of arts to change lives.
This presentation is intended for youth, adults, and families.
