Tree Steward Training

Tree San Diego’s Tree Steward training provides the foundational knowledge to anyone wanting to learn various skills that they can use to preserve and enhance their neighborhood trees. When you become a Tree Steward, you are joining other San Diegans who are using their skills and knowledge for the betterment of their community.
Want to learn the basics?
Sign up with a minimum donation of $15 and we will get you all you need to know to make a difference in your own backyard. Once you sign up a Zoom meeting link will be sent to you for your upcoming training.
Learn how to:
- Plant, water, maintain, and monitor tree health
- Communicate and advocate for trees in their local community
- Learn the benefits of urban forests
- Identify native species and discuss proper care techniques

Want to become a certified Tree Steward?
Complete the 2 hour module and maintain your certification by completing 20 hours of environmental community service as a volunteer.
