Wetland drainage and its impacts on biodiversity in the prairie and parkland region of Canada

Kiel Drake is the Prairie Region Director of Birds Canada here in Saskatoon.

In this talk Kiel will discuss the various types of wetlands that characterize the landscape of the Northern Great Plains, how we make measures of wetland drainage as a result of land use, how we measure changes in bird populations, and what are the implications if landscape modification continues to eliminate natural areas.
