Bragg Creek Trails Association (BCTA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to sustainably build, maintain and manage the non-motorized trails in West Bragg Creek (WBC) inside Kananaskis Country, as well as in Rocky View County (RVC). These year round activities are facilitated by a combination of volunteers and paid workers.
WBC has become an extremely popular recreation destination for XC skiers, snowshoers, cyclists, hikers, trail runners and equestrians to name a few. This has been achieved by building strong relationships with Alberta Environment and Parks, Rocky View County, and many other stakeholders. The dynamic trails community that has been created under the visionary guidance within BCTA has brought our organization to a crossroads.
BCTA has recognized that in order to remain sustainable as an organization, a transition from volunteer administration to one of being professionally lead is required. As such, the new ED will work extensively with the Executive Committee, Board members, Committee Chairs and Operational Leads during this transition period to fine tune the outlined roles and responsibilities (linked below) of this new ED position.
BCTA is looking for a strong team-oriented individual to manage and lead the BCTA team by running the trail operations and business. The ED will have administrative oversight of all components of BCTA operations that includes ensuring the long range established plans, agreements, budgets, and adherence to guidance documents.
