We are currently recruiting for self-motivated and responsible team players who are passionate about Coquitlam’s Parks to join our Landscape Division on a Temporary Full Time basis until November 2022!

 

Our 2022 Labourer 2’s must enjoy working outdoors performing regular physical activity that is often repetitive in nature in all types of weather.  Cutting and maintaining lawns and grounds, planting and maintaining perennials and annuals, assisting in the maintenance of various landscaped, horticultural and turf areas in parks and along road boulevards and medians will be expected.

 

Preferred candidates will have relevant work experience involving general labour with landscaping.  Education and training in Horticulture as well as experience with driving a 3-ton truck, operating rotary mowers, line trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment used in landscaping would be an asset.

 

Requirements include a valid BC Driver’s License (with satisfactory driving record) and completion of a Police Information Check (with no adverse reports).

 

A CUPE hourly rate of $30.30 (2022 rates) is offered.  Temporary full time opportunities provide an additional 6% in lieu of benefits as well as some health and wellness benefits and ability to participate in an earned day off program.  The City has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended.  However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
