Job Description

The EP Certification team is responsible for reviewing and approving applications for EP Certification, Board and Committee management, program improvement initiatives and member community management/building. Reporting to the Director, Certification, the duties of the Program Manager/Registrar will include supervision of key staff, oversight of the implementation and execution of the certification processes and growth, and assisting in the interpretation of Certification policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and experience in program/product management.

This position is responsible for collaboratively driving the ongoing success of the Certification division. This will involve:

Managing the national Approvals Board and related committees/taskforces, including preparing monthly candidate rosters and quarterly reports.
Maintain program reporting dashboards.
Oversight of the certification process, which includes supporting a team of coordinators and grading of examinations.
Collaborate with leadership on the strategic planning for program growth, lifetime value and customer experience.
Assisting with marketing and communications activities, website development, and new certification program development.
Oversee and implement projects, collaborating with various departments at ECO Canada.
Maintain a close working relationship with ECO Canada’s post-secondary Accreditation team to increase awareness of both student and junior professional certification streams.
Acting as Secretariat in all member complaints.
Management of internal Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications and Education

Graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma at a university or college level.
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a suitable field, such as management, administration, quality assurance/control, etc.

Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, implementation of programs/initiatives and tracking activities.
Minimum 2 years of experience managing/supervising a team.
Experience with strategy implementation.
Excellent command of the English language, with strong emphasis on written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and desire to connect with people working in all areas of the environmental sector.
Great attitude and ability to maintain control while coordinating activities and balancing multiple priorities.
Exceptional time-management, organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
Occasional travel required for this position.
Fluency in French and some experience in a suitable field, such as environmental industry, certification/membership program administration, and technical writing experience are considered an asset.
Experience using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Dynamics, as well as general computer skills including file management and data entry.


This role is a full-time position, with a three-month probationary period upon start date, and the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the Calgary office and the option to work remotely for the remaining 2).
