Serving in the Interpretation Department, the Nature and Heritage Interpreter will spearhead the delivery of Cape Jourimain’s interpretive services and will serve as the public face of the Nature Centre. Duties will include, greeting visitors, answering public questions, leading programs and tours, delivering activities on event days, developing new interpretive content, and assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and other operational tasks. Every day will be a bit different and there will be lots of opportunities to learn and get creative.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, and resourceful, with a desire to learn. Applicants must be comfortable with public speaking and working in a team environment. The ability to effectively communicate in both English and French is an asset, but not required.
A candidate pursuing a degree in environmental studies, history, or education would be preferred. Experience in outdoor education and working with the public would be considered an asset. Certification in first aid and possession of a Class-5 driver’s license would be considered an asset.
