Victoria MacPhail is a pollination biologist with extensive experience with many aspects of pollination. She has a BSc from the University of Prince Edward Island and an MSc from the University of Guelph. She is currently working on her PhD at York University (Toronto, Ontario) investigating the value of community science data, focusing on the Bumble Bee Watch program. She is using data from that project to help answer pressing ecological questions related to the biology and conservation status of bumble bees, as well as how community scientists can help in species conservation. She is also a Senior Doctoral Scholar with CPCIL working with knowledge mobilization. She is also a founding member and current co-Chair of Pollination Guelph, a grassroots volunteer-run group dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of pollinators and pollinator habitat.
