About the Project

How might we demonstrate sustainable solutions to climate change-resilient infrastructure in parks and protected areas?

Coastal parks face shoreline erosion issues. Can we understand how significant this is, how to pro-actively mitigate erosion, and how to do so with sustainable and natural approaches instead of just hardening or armouring beaches and coastlines. I would want to understand what approaches are being taken in parks and beaches across Canada – even globally – and what the internal cost/benefits are of natural solutions as well as ways to convince the public and agencies that this is the best approach.
